Image Licensing

License Overview

All images on SceneVault are licensed, not sold. When you download an image using credits, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use that image in your projects. The scope of your license depends on the tier you select: Standard or HD.

Standard License

The Standard license provides a standard-resolution file optimized for digital use and small-format print applications.

• Digital use: websites, social media, email newsletters, digital ads, presentations
• Small-format print: business cards, flyers, postcards, A4 or smaller documents
• No limit on the number of projects or impressions
• Use in commercial and personal projects

HD License

The HD license provides the highest available resolution, suitable for large-format print and professional production.

• All Standard license uses, plus:
• Large-format print: posters, banners, exhibition displays, wall art, packaging
• Print-on-demand products: greeting cards, calendars, art prints (as a background or element, not as the primary product)
• Broadcast and video production: film, television, streaming media

Allowed Uses

• Use as a background, texture, or design element in your own creative projects
• Incorporate into designs for client work and commercial products
• Use in wedding invitations, stationery, posters, and packaging
• Use in digital marketing materials, websites, and social media posts
• Use in editorial publications (magazines, books, blogs)
• Modify, crop, recolor, or composite the image as part of a larger design

Prohibited Uses

• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the image in its original or minimally modified form
• Include the image in a stock media library, clip art collection, or template marketplace
• Use the image as part of a dataset for AI training, machine learning, or neural network development
• Use the image in pornographic, defamatory, or illegal content
• Register the image as a trademark, service mark, or design patent
• Claim authorship or copyright ownership of the image
• Use automated tools to bulk-download images without written authorization

Attribution is not required but is appreciated. If you would like to credit SceneVault, you may use: "Background by SceneVault.art" or a link to our website.
